OUR AREA
Untouched by noise and neon, the quaint village of Graeagle is
located in the serene Mohawk Valley though which flows the middle
fork of the Feather River. It is truly one of the hidden gems
of the High Sierra! For half a century the village of Graeagle
was a bustling company-owned lumber and mill town. Today, this
charming village with its distinctive red buildings houses restaurants
and boutiques and operates as a year-round recreational area.
Graeagle is an easy one hour drive from Reno and two and one half
hours from Sacramento.
Within a short
distance of Graeagle, five championship golf courses known for
their spectacular mountain setting and natural beauty serve notice
that Graeagle has become a true golf destination.
Outdoor enthusiasts
will enjoy a myriad of hiking and bicycling trails, trout fishing,
horseback riding, and swimming and picnicking at our local lake.
Winter visitors will be captivated by the snow-covered landscape
where snowmobile and cross-country skiing adventures await. Whatever
the season, it's all set against the magnificent backdrop of the
High Sierra.
